Kapur-Samuel Families Endowed Scholarship
Being awarded the Kapur Samuel Families Endowed Scholarship has been a great honor of my academic journey. This scholarship is given to full-time undergraduate students in the Department of Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management who show a commitment to serving others and to the fine arts. Receiving it has strengthened my passion for making a positive impact through my education and extracurricular activities.
My time at the University of Florida has consisted of involvement in the International Scholars Program, the THEM Society, and as an International Student Ambassador. These opportunities have allowed me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and engage in meaningful service to the UF community. Whether it’s through volunteering or participating in global discussions, I’ve been able to fully participate in the many opportunities UF offers.
The scholarship lunch was not just a moment of celebration but also a chance to meet the donors of these scholarships. Speaking with members of the Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management Board and learning about their journeys was also inspiring. I also had the chance to connect with fellow scholarship recipients, each with their own unique goals and achievements. Sharing ideas and experiences with them made me feel even more excited about the path we are on together in this field.
